🎙️ STORY SLAM: "FORBIDDEN"

On 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗲 𝟮𝗻𝗱, we are kicking off Pride Month with a theme we can all relate to — “𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗯𝗶𝗱𝗱𝗲𝗻.”⠀

Have you ever been scared to go for what you wanted because it was forbidden? The allegory of tasting the forbidden fruit is as ancient as humanity itself.

Maybe it was a lover, a lifestyle, or a cherished dream that your family, friends, or community disapproved of. We’ve all been through times when we had to go against convention in pursuit of our true selves.

This theme aims to give space for our LGTBQ+ hermanxs to share their their struggles of coming out while also allowing others to share their own battles against societal conventions. All are welcome!

𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗮 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗸 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝘂𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗳𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁. Tell us why it was forbidden, what you had to overcome to get it, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙝𝙤𝙬 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙪𝙜𝙜𝙡𝙚 𝙢𝙖𝙙𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙜𝙧𝙤𝙬 𝙖𝙨 𝙖 𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙤𝙣.

You don’t need tell a story to attend - most people just listen. But if you do, 𝗽𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗸𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝗶𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝟱 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝘂𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗿 𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀.⠀
